A year after Sona, Michael deals with the burden of surviving, the chore of living after life and the future have lost their appeal.
Author's Note: This is a one shot, examining Michael's life back in Chicago after Sona, and after Sara. It's definitely the saddest thing I've ever written and I actually kind of surprised myself, but it just came to me the other day and I had to write it. In one part I kind of stole inspiration from one of burntcircles' ideas in the latest chap of "The Most Beautiful Flower on Earth," very briefly, I hope she doesn't mind!! :) The song used is "Gone Away" by the Offspring, I happened to hear it on the radio Monday and had a "oh wow I'd forgotten about this song" kind of moment, followed by a "oh wow this song reminds me of Sara and Misa :'(" kind of moment, and I have been unable to get it out of my head ever since.
